Kuwait Airways is blaming poor ground handling as the reason one of its Boeing 777s crashed into jetway in Nice, France on Monday.
A video posted on social media shows the left wing of the widebody jet stuck in the roof of one of the airport’s jetways.
According to a statement from the airline, the airplane was being directed into its parking spot when ground personnel “committed a mistake in guiding the plane.”
All passengers and crew disembarked unharmed through the front L1 door.
The airline was forced to cancel the return flight that day while the aircraft underwent repairs in Nice.
