A video has surfaced showing shocked check-in staff at Tel Aviv’s Ben Gurion Airport inspecting an infant in its stroller left behind at the ticket counter by two Ryanair passengers who apparently refused or could not pay a small fee to take the child on the flight with them.

It’s reported the two Belgian nationals panicked to catch their Ryanair flight to Brussels after they showed up late for the flight.

When they were told they would have to pay a fee to take their infant on the flight, the couple left their child at the counter and ran to make their flight. It’s unclear if they didn’t have the money or if they were unable to pay the fee as the counter had already closed the flight.

Airport security and Israeli police were able to track the pair down and take them into custody. Instead of paying the £25 fee, they still missed their flight and made headlines worldwide for their awful parenting skills.
