Since Abu Dhabi’s Etihad Airways stepped up to rescue Italy’s ailing national carrier, Alitalia has gotten a new and fashionable lease on life. From new branding, cabins and lounges, the makeover was nearly complete. The only thing missing was a new uniform.

Today, the final piece fell into place as vibrant uniforms from Italian Designer Ettore Bilotta took off down the runway in Rome, ushering in the first uniform change for the airline in nearly 20 years.
